Detailed information is provided below. <strong>The deadline for all nominations is Monday, July 1, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Intealth Board of Trustees Governance Committee will review all nominees in July and provide a recommendation to the full Board of Trustees in September. New trustees will be required to attend a virtual orientation in November 2024, with an in-person orientation session to follow during the in-person full Board meeting in January 2025.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trustee Nominations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Intealth invites nominations to fill up to four trustee positions on its Board and seeks highly motivated individuals who are committed to advancing its missions. Candidates should demonstrate a capacity for organizational decision making through leadership and\/or prior board experience, and a dedication to the highest professional and personal ethics.\u00a0All trustees are volunteers who initially serve a four-year term with potential re-election to one additional four-year term. Through their service, trustees have a global impact by shaping the future strategy and direction of Intealth and global health professions education.<\/p>\n<p>Intealth is committed to a diverse Board that reflects the many constituencies it serves, including but not limited to diversity in gender, race, ethnicity, age, and professional background. Intealth is particularly interested in recruiting individuals who can serve as public members.\u00a0Individuals can self-nominate or be nominated by a third party, as described below.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To self-nominate: Complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/4bH1EPa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Intealth Trustee Nomination Form<\/em><\/a> and attach a current curriculum vitae (CV) or resume, where instructed to do so in the form.<\/li>\n<li>To recommend an individual for consideration: Send an email, letter of support, and contact information for the proposed nominee to Tracy Wallowicz at <a href=\"mailto:twallowicz@intealth.org\">twallowicz@intealth.org<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All materials must be submitted to Intealth via the electronic <em>Intealth Trustee Nomination Form<\/em> no later than Monday, July 1, 2024.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resident Trustee Nominations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Intealth is currently accepting self-nominations for two resident trustees to serve on its Board. Specifically, Intealth looks to add one U.S. citizen international medical graduate (IMG) and one foreign national IMG to the Board.\u00a0Through their service, resident trustees have a global impact by shaping the future strategy and direction of Intealth.<\/p>\n<p>Resident trustees are volunteers who serve a two-year term; resident trustees are not eligible for reappointment. Nominees must have at least two years of U.S. graduate medical education training left at the time of application. In addition, all nominations must include program director support.\u00a0Specifically, a resident trustee self-nominee must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3K7YwAi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Intealth Resident Trustee Nomination Form<\/em><\/a> and attach a current curriculum vitae (CV) where instructed to do so in the form.<\/li>\n<li>Submit a letter of support from the nominee\u2019s program director. This letter must confirm that the nominee will have time allocated within their training schedule to fulfill all responsibilities of the Board, including attendance at both remote and in-person meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upon review, certain candidates may be asked to provide additional information and\/or participate in a virtual interview.<\/p>\n<p>All materials must be submitted to Intealth via the electronic <em>Intealth<\/em> <em>Resident Trustee Nomination Form<\/em> no later than Monday, July 1, 2024.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trustee Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trustees accept fiduciary responsibility for Intealth.<\/li>\n<li>Trustees are expected to review and abide by the Intealth bylaws and Board operational policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Trustees are required to report all conflicts of interest.<\/li>\n<li>Trustees must prepare for and engage in three in-person Board meetings per year, as well as virtual committee meetings for the committees on which they serve. Trustees must possess the interest, commitment, and time as needed to devote to Board meetings, committee assignments, appeal hearings, and other work of the Board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Background<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Through its divisions, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecfmg.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ECFMG<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faimer.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAIMER<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/a>, Intealth promotes quality medical education and health care worldwide\u2014serving physicians, members of the medical education and regulatory communities, health care consumers, and researchers. A nonprofit organization based in Philadelphia, Intealth serves as a leading expert on the world\u2019s medical education systems and their graduates, the authenticity of physician credentials, the assessment of physicians, and physician immigration and migration. Through its program of ECFMG Certification, Intealth assesses the readiness of international medical graduates to enter U.S. graduate medical education and\/or seek licensure.<\/p>\n<p>Intealth trustees come from a wide range of backgrounds and are leaders in their fields.
