\"IMG<\/a>Intealth\u2122 is pleased to announce it will host IMG Well-being Day on Friday, May 30, 2025, a new day of recognition to support and celebrate international medical graduates (IMGs) in U.S. graduate medical education (GME). The initiative builds on Intealth\u2019s long-standing commitment to supporting physician well-being and promoting inclusive training environments.<\/p>\n

IMG Well-being Day will feature the release of new multimedia resources developed specifically for IMG physicians, including peer-to-peer video presentations from Intealth Well-being Grant<\/a> recipients, a mindfulness webinar in partnership with Headspace, and a support video on navigating the transition into U.S. residency. Intealth invites GME programs across the country to participate in the day<\/a> by taking action locally\u2014a toolkit available now to training programs offers engagement ideas, sample social media posts and graphics, and materials to help institutions of all sizes support their IMG trainees.<\/p>\n

\u201cInternational medical graduates continue to play a vital role in the U.S. physician workforce, filling essential roles in both primary care and specialized fields,\u201d said Eric S. Holmboe, MD, President and Chief Executive Officer of Intealth. \u201cIMG Well-being Day is a way to celebrate this community, elevate their voices, and encourage continued attention to their well-being needs throughout training. We\u2019re proud to support both IMG physicians and the U.S. training institutions that are already doing important work to welcome and support them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Intealth\u2019s IMG well-being efforts evolved in 2018 with the launch of its annual well-being survey to better understand the unique needs of IMGs. Since that time, its well-being-focused efforts have expanded to include the launch of an annual IMG Well-being Grant Opportunity and investment in premium access for J-1 physicians to Headspace, a leading wellness app. IMG Well-being Day builds on this work by creating a unifying moment of recognition and resource-sharing for the IMG community and the U.S. institutions that train them.<\/p>\n
