Intealth is pleased to announce that submissions are being accepted for the 2024 Intealth Well-being Grant Opportunity. Intealth is seeking proposals led by J-1 exchange visitor physicians for well-being projects that aim to improve the wellness of foreign national physicians training in graduate medical education programs in the United States. Three grants of up to US$5,000 per project will be awarded to implement the selected well-being projects at the J-1 physicians’ host institutions. For more information, including access to the Request for Proposal and submission form, please visit the 2024 Intealth Well-being Grant Opportunity page. Proposals must be submitted by September 9, 2024.
Intealth launched the inaugural grant opportunity for J-1 physicians in 2023, and the three selected projects demonstrated significant positive impacts on the awarded project groups and the foreign national physicians at their training institutions.
Foreign national physician residents and fellows provide critical health care services and add cultural diversity to training hospitals across the United States. They also face unique challenges, such as transitioning to a new health care system and culture. This grant initiative is one of the ways Intealth seeks to support foreign national physician wellness, thereby promoting successful clinical and cultural exchange for J-1 physicians and the delivery of quality patient care.
