Intealth is pleased to announce that it is providing complimentary access to Headspace, a leading science-backed mindfulness and meditation app, to all J-1 exchange visitor physicians participating in U.S. graduate medical education (GME) programs.
Intealth continuously strives to better understand the unique challenges faced by foreign national physicians, specifically J-1 exchange visitor physicians, as they adapt to a new health care system and culture while managing the demands of medical training. Headspace is the latest resource Intealth is offering to help address these challenges, in particular to assist J-1 physicians with stress reduction, focus, sleep, and overall wellness.
“As the sole J-1 visa sponsor for physicians in clinical U.S. GME programs, Intealth is committed to the well-being of the foreign national physicians we serve,” said Tracy Wallowicz, Chief of Staff and Senior Vice President, External Relations. “Providing access to Headspace reflects our broader goal of promoting physician wellness so J-1 physicians can thrive both professionally and personally.”
This free J-1 physician resource is being piloted for the 2024-2025 academic year. For more information on Headspace, and other resources Intealth offers to support J-1 physicians, visit the Well-being Resources page.
